The Hauck baby walker is a stylish looking walker and play centre, the stripy chair and colour scheme look modern and fresh yet eye-catching enough to appeal to children too.

The baby walker does require assembly but this mainly consists of clicking together the component plastic parts and screwing in 16 screws in total, so no arduous task. The only aspect to let down this process I feel is that the instructions are not clear enough, resulting in some confusion. However as it was a simple assembly with not that many parts it was pretty easy to figure out without the instructions.

Once assembled it seems sturdy and has withstood my one year olds enthusiastic use of it. She loves the activity centre part of it and is quite happy to just sit in the chair playing with the toys attached to it. A big hit is the steering wheel and the buttons which produce the music.

The activity station can be simply unstrapped off leaving a convenient empty tray useful to put any of your own toys on. This makes it hygienic for cleaning purposes also. The seat fabric can also be easily unhooked off enabling you to wash if needed.

Two parts require 2xAA batteries each. One is the activity centre as it plays music and one is the rear support bar which has two lights which flash and beep when pressed.

It has three height adjustable levels which are easy to change with a couple of clicks. This is a nice simple step unlike some walkers I have used where you have to dismantle part of the walker to adjust the height.

The walker can be converted for when your child is a bit more confident with their steps or when they have outgrown the seat, giving you longer use of this walker than others on the market.

You can simply remove the chair part and the rear support bar at the bottom move to a more forward position. This enables the child to stand upright and to walk within the frame of the walker, it has two convenient handles for the child to hold onto for extra stability when using the walker in this mode.

Lastly and most importantly is the walking aspect. It has two fixed back wheels and two front swivel wheels enabling easy manoeuvrability around corners and bends. My little girl found it easy to walk and steer it around our circular dining room table with no problems. On the wooden floor she was zooming away, which resulted in a happy one year old as she felt she could compete with her older walking sibling! The carpeted part of the house slowed down this process some but the walker still manages a smooth ride on this floor also.

I’m more than happy with this stylish walker that has some nice extra features than your more basic walkers on the market making it stand out and giving you ease of use.
