Twinlakes Family Theme Park

We arrived at Twinlakes and was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome.
The staff issued us with a map and a listing of the day’s activities. The girls agreed that they really wanted to see the meerkats at feeding time so we decided that we would go and have fun on the rides first.
We headed over to the Buccaneers Island Zone and climbed aboard the barrels followed by a quick fire round in the master blaster. Whilst the kids were riding Shark Bite we got some reasonably priced food & drinks.
As the girls were enjoying some other rides they spotted Susanoo's splash play in the distance and couldn't reach there quick enough!
The Splash Play really was awesome and the girls thoroughly enjoyed splashing around in the water and riding the water slides knowing at any moment the bucket on the roof could tip and soak them! The splash play area really was great as the water wasn't deep enough for swimming but adequate for plenty of water fun so even the little ones could join in.
Whilst we were watching the children play as we lounged on the sunbeds, my husband noticed a bee floating in the water so reported it to the staff who quickly removed it from harm’s way.
Eventually we made our way over to the farm and enjoyed seeing many different animals including donkeys, skunks, ferrets, chipmunks and many more. The girls even got to stroke a baby bunny!
Afterwards we headed over to the Twin Lakes where we took out a pedal boat for a ride during which the girls took advantage of purchasing some food (for 50p) to feed the fish & ducks while we were on the lake.
The zip wires and the assault course were next on the agenda followed by the creepy critters where we saw tarantula's and snakes which my eldest loved!
The park was clean, the staff were very friendly and there were many toilets dotted about the park which anyone with children knows how important that is!
The only downside we found was in using sat nav to get there we ended up in a nearby farmers field as they share the same postcode, luckily the farmer was friendly and pointed us in the right direction. Apparently this is a common problem and the staff at Twinlakes have spoken with the people at Satellite Navigation so they are aware. So if anyone is thinking of visiting Twinlakes (which I highly recommend) you're better off heading to Melton Mowbray town centre as Twinlakes is sign posted from there.
Twinlakes caters for all ages and there really is something for everyone, such a great day and we can't wait to go back!
