I recently went to see Billy Ocean perform at St George’s Hall in Bradford as part of his current UK tour. For those that don’t know Billy Ocean had a string of R&B hits in the 70’s & 80’s and has sold over 30 million records to date.
This show went completely above & beyond my expectations. I was totally amazed by the performance given by Billy Ocean, he still had the ability to entertain and capture your attention whilst singing and moving around the stage.
His band were brilliant too, the drums were the centre feature of the stage and rightly deserved to be there.
The show had a good mix of songs from love songs to up-beat numbers, he performed some of new songs and some old favourites from back in his day.
I think you would struggle to find someone that came away and said they didn’t enjoy themselves. The audience were involved throughout the performance they were singing lyrics back to him and were up and out of their seats dancing in their spaces, some even moved to the aisles and the space in front of the stage.
The ticket price was more than good value for money for such a lively entertaining night.
I would definitely go and see him perform again.
