Wow what can I say about this review! As a great lover of vibrant colours and wacky designs this was right up my street. I applaud Koochi for creating something quite unique and bold. It’s quite hard to find designs of this character even though in this day and age there are so many variations of styles out there.

First of all, obviously I found the colours wonderful, black and green are such cool complimentary colours. Especially if you are a great lover of the abstract lines and criss-cross patterns the pram has. I found that the material itself was superb and I found this out for myself on Saturday afternoon when my toddler spilled a large amount of melted ice cream on the seat part of the pram. Immediately I panicked and thought oh no that’s the pram ruined within days of receiving it, just my luck! Especially as my last pram suffered a similar fate with hot chocolate and it got damaged beyond repair no matter how hard I scrubbed (really, who makes prams so hard to clean, it’s just mean!). But to my surprise it wiped right off, and left no stain or smudge. Not even on the harness part which is usually where the stains really like to cling on. I also liked that on the harness you could have the option of taking off 2 parts of it with ease so my daughter could lean forward while she ate her lunch or took a drink.

The pram itself is very easy to use and smooth although I have always had a prejudiced view on 3 wheeler prams as I found them to look unsafe and distasteful compared to the traditional 4 wheeler pram. But I can safely say I am converted now, I love my new 3 wheeled pram. It is so much easier to turn and squeeze into places than a traditional 4 wheeled pram. Something I myself need when trying to get places especially as I don’t drive and basically walk just about everywhere.

Folding the pram away took me by surprise, I’ve never come across a design like that! So easy especially as I am 6 months pregnant and dread bending and awkwardly trying to manoeuvre myself around a pram as I am trying to fold it down. But this is very pregnancy friendly, I barely had to bend at all and it folded itself as I nudged it to do its thing with a final clip at the end when you push it together into a neat and confined pile. Once folded it slips neatly into the boot of a car which I found out for myself on the weekend when I planned a day out with my friend in her car.

When putting the pram together at first it confused me as I am not used to the layout of a 3 wheeler but I soon got used to it once I plugged the nice lightweight wheels in and caught my bearings. The instructions were simple and straightforward although it could have done with a more straightforward step-by-step program not that it needed it too much. But for someone who might be new to the pram world it might be worth considering. The parts slotted in nicely without a hitch and was ready to go in minutes. I was also pleased with how lightweight the pram was and how nice it is to see that the wheels are easily replaceable in case of damage or over use.

The suspension was a treat and the fold down leg room and multi position seat was easy to use and I found that my daughter was very comfortable even considering how tall she is for a little one. I also liked the add-ons, for example the rain cover, newborn/infant head brace and boot bag. Those were very nice touches and high quality. The cosy toes seemed very snug and I love the fact it cocoons the child while giving parents easy access via the zips on the front. The material was nice and thick and it nicely nestled the child into the pram. The rain cover was thick and I liked the air holes, a great added touch along with the window at the top of the pram.

The under carriage storage was very pleasing to the eye, I managed to fit not only a full rucksack but mine and my child’s lunch for the day and our umbrella. One of the things I always look for in a pram is the storage since I can spend entire days out walking with a pram. There is nothing like being able to stow away the days shop or essentials without worrying about where you’re going to hang it off the pram or if it’s going to make your pram topple over with your child still in it because the prams weight isn’t evenly distributed. But I had no such problem with this pram and it didn’t affect the performance of it the more I stored underneath.

My list of positives broken up into simple bullet points:

– Great storage
– Smooth ease of use when pushing
– Great extras i.e. cosy toes, head cushion and boot bag.
– Lightweight
– Easy to fold away
– Simple adjustable seat and calf room
– Comfortable harness and seat
– Simple instructions
– Easy to keep clean
– Affordable price
– Great colours!
– Quick and simple to put together

While I list off so many great positives of course there are bound to be some negatives too, but really some views are out of personal preference and experience. Out of personal preference the first thing I noticed about the design when I first looked at it was the bright white base of the pram. It was very striking and to me did not go with the rest of the theme of the pram. I would have liked to have seen it bright green or black like the rest of the pram, it seemed so out of character to have a bright white base which is so plain and ordinary. Something I’m sure the kind of audience of this pram is not looking for!

The handle of the pram while it is comfortable lacks any adjustment ability, especially for a buggy board which I will so sorely need when my new arrival is here. It is too close to the base of the pram and will make it difficult to make room for my child while she stands on the board. While I realise the lack of adjustment might be to accommodate for the easier way to fold the pram it’s quite a sacrifice!

The undercarriage storage, while it is fantastic, isn’t completely protected by the elements and I feared if it rained the overhead carriage would cause rain to drip straight onto the area underneath. Really I would need to be savvy about how I protected my items but it isn’t too much of a big deal. The rain cover was also ever so slightly too short, especially as where my daughters feet rested put a lot of pressure on the cover once done up around the wheel, it could have done with that little bit of extra foot space.

As you can see there aren’t quite as many negatives once you weigh them out. But here is a list of them to just break them down for you:

– Could do with more protection around the under carriage
– Could do with slightly wider foot room once rain cover is attached
– Adjustable handle? Or if not wider room for a child to stand with a buggy board
– Let the white base follow the rest of the colour theme of the pram

As you can tell my list of positives is far greater than my list of negatives. Which to me is quite important in the grand scheme of things. I found myself having to be a bit nit-picky as I do adore this pram. I am very pleased with the KOOCHI Pushmatic in Hyperwave pram. As said I love the bold designs and colour, ease of use and great storage.

To better review the product I must take into account the RRP price of £180. I do think it is worth this amount especially when looking at the quality of the material and size and ease of use. I have turned quite a few heads when going about my daily business with this pram and my daughter seems to love it also. I will be recommending this product to others as I know a few who are bored of the generic “boring” designs other prams have to offer.
