Beurer Activity Sensor AS 80 Review

I am making a conscious effort to be healthier so when the opportunity came up to review this Beurer Activity Sensor, I snapped it up. What I didn’t anticipate was sharing it with my 9 year old daughter! She loves it so much that I have said I will get her one of her own.
When the sensor arrived, I plugged it in to my laptop with the supplied USB lead and charged it up for 3 hours. I was so glad that the time wasn’t too long as I was chomping at the bit to get started.
While the Activity Sensor was charging I downloaded the free Beurer Health Management App from the App Store, it was simple and quick to install on my iPad Mini and easy to use. The two main areas of the app my daughter and I have been using are Activity and Sleep. I have been having some knee/leg pain since my twin pregnancy and so I am struggling with extra pounds at the moment. The activity part of the app allows me to set realistic step targets for each day and a target amount of time to be exercising. I opted to set my steps to 10,000 and my time to 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Once the app was set up I set about achieving my 10,000 steps for the day. I haven’t actually yet managed it or the time exercising goal, but I love the challenge of working towards something.
The second function I have found brilliantly useful is the sleep part of the app. Because of my leg/knee pain I don’t always sleep to well. The app is brilliant for tracking this.
It can also track calorie consumption but I am yet to use this function.
The device itself is so comfortable and stylish to wear, you wear it on your wrist like a watch and it even displays the time. It tracks your movements and sends the results via Bluetooth to the app on the device you have installed it on (phone, tablet etc…).
It’s early days yet, but, this sensor will stay a vital part of my healthy living efforts and I will be writing an update in another month or so to let you all know how I am getting on. I would recommend this to anyone as both the sensor and app are so simple to use.
