On Sunday I took my daughter to see Chuckles of Oz staring the Chuckle Brothers at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells. I remember watching the Chuckle Brothers when I was a kid so was secretly a teeny bit excited probably more than my daughter was.

The story is a twist to the Wizard of Oz and follows Dorothy on her journey along the yellow Brick Road where she meets the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Lion. The Chuckle Brothers come on at the end of the scenes and do something slightly unrelated but hilarious and had everyone in stitches I haven’t laughed so much in a very long time. The humour was a little bit above my daughter but she still thoroughly enjoyed the show especially when they use the water pistol on the audience and her favourite character was probably the evil witch.

There were some brilliant scenes with my favourite being the scene with the cucumber, I won’t spoil it by saying what happens you’re just have to go and see it for yourself! Another laugh out loud scene ends up with Barry wearing nothing but frilly knickers!

There were loads of people without children so there’s no excuse not to go and see this with upbeat comedy with modern music such as Pharrell Williams’ Happy and Roar by Katy Perry. This really is a show for everyone.

The Assembly Hall Theatre is a lovely theatre with friendly and helpful staff and a carpark not even a five minute walk away they also had a good variety of snacks drinks and Ice creams at very reasonable prices, I would definitely come here again.

I would urge any Chuckle Brothers fans to see this whatever age you are as they also come out after the show to sign souvenir guide and meet people.
