I was delighted to have the opportunity of reviewing this book. The first thing that struck me was how reasonably priced it was, just £6.99. As a mum of 10 week old twin boys and a 7 year old daughter life is rather hectic. Recipes which use just the one pot, whether baking dish, saucepan, wok etc… are music to my ears. I am in the 3rdweek of following the Slimming World plan now and was feeling adventurous. At first I stuck to using basic ingredients to put together meals. Upon flicking through the book I first spotted potato gratin. On a Green or Extra Easy day the recipe is only 1 syn. The preparation and cooking time were reasonable. It tastes totally yummy. Another thing we tried was coronation chicken salad. On a Green or Extra Easy day it is only 2 syns per serving. It is fast to prepare and does not need to be cooked. I make some up and keep it in the fridge for when I am feeling a bit hungry.
Overall this book is filled to the brim with exciting recipes to try out. The instructions are easy to follow. This would be perfect taken out as part of picnic food or served at a dinner party.
