Frankie & Benny’s Trafford Centre Manchester Review

Reviewed by Debbie Talbot
Ever since I moved to Manchester my daughter and I have been eyeing up Frankie & Benny’s at the Trafford Centre, Manchester. We were delighted to go there for a meal recently on a Saturday night. Originally we had planned to go for a meal on the Friday evening after visiting the Legoland Discovery Centre, but whilst sitting in the bar area my daughter came over poorly. The helpful Frankie and Benny’s staff swapped our booking to the next day without any problems at all and I whisked my little girl off home to bed.
When we arrived at the Restaurant on the Saturday night we were seated very quickly and our drinks order taken. My daughter was given a fantastic Activity Pack which contained an activity book, jigsaw and pencil. All the tasks within the book were well thought out and it kept her occupied the whole time we were there. Making the jigsaw was her favourite part. Our drinks arrived within a couple of minutes and our food order was taken. Our waitress, Laura, delighted my daughter by chatting with her and could not be more helpful during our visit. When a balloon was given to my daughter the grin on her face could have lit up the whole of Manchester.
My starter came within 5 minutes and our waitress was very efficient in checking that all was ok with our meals. I had mushrooms in a sauce on a garlic bread base. The portion size was generous and the food hot and tasty. After quickly clearing our table our main courses arrived. My daughter and the other adult in our party had margarita pizza which they both thoroughly enjoyed. My daughter was delighted to get a bowl of baked beans to eat with her pizza. I opted for steak and chips with a side of peppercorn sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection and my main course was tasty and hot. Our plates were quickly cleared away and we were offered the dessert menu. None of us had any space left for dessert and so we got the bill and paid.
The ambience within the restaurant was fantastic and kept a smile on our face, especially when music was played for people’s birthdays. The service level over all in the restaurant, not just at our table, was excellent. Our meal was just over £35 so very reasonably priced. Starters cost between £4 and £5.00, Main courses varied. My steak and chips cost £10.95. Desserts cost between £3.95 and £5.00.
I recommend visiting Frankie and Benny’s for breakfast as they have a 2 breakfasts for £10 offer on at the moment. Their lunch menu is a reasonable £5.95 and their 2 course evening menu £9.95. The two course evening menu is not available on a Saturday. We plan to go back as often as possible as it was such a lovely pleasant experience.
