On unwrapping the outer layer of postage packaging, I was pleasantly presented with a stunning box wrapped neatly with ribbon and the Anne Wiggins name on the front. After carefully opening the box, there was a fresh smell, which I quickly discovered came from a cute organza bag filled with lavender. The palazzo pants and camisole were carefully and neatly folded under a couple of layers of tissue paper. They are a stunning champagne colour.
The set themselves were so soft and luxurious to the touch I couldn’t wait to try them on. The camisole needed adjusting to the correct strap length which was very simple to do. The camisole can also be worn under a jacket as a top, which I love the idea of. The palazzo pants were a little tight to get over my hips but once on, fitted lovely. I would highly recommend purchasing this set or any of the items if you are looking for that something extra special, especially for an occasion such as a wedding night.
The set is a medium size and I’m a size 10, so I would recommend checking measurements before ordering.
Inside the box are instructions for caring for your silk items which I found very useful, as the items are so delicate. There are also instructions on the Anne Wiggins website.
As far as value for money is concerned, the price of this set is quite high, however due to the way the silk is produced for this company, and the fact that the product is manufactured to ethical fair trade standards, this completely justifies the price. The website offers the philosophies of Anne Wiggins which makes for an interesting read.
A luxurious and gorgeous set that would make an excellent gift for Valentine’s Day.
