Labyrinth, the cult film by Jim Henson, showcasing his original masterpiece and musical fantasy film starring the iconic David Bowie heads to to Lighthouse Poole. This one night only showing, features the music performed by a live band.

This epic film has been watched by millions of people across the world, but this will be the first time that I will be watching it, so excited isn’t the word.

Jim Henson’s classic stars David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly, as well as goblins and creatures from the creative mind of Jim Henson. The film features a soundtrack of unique and memorable melodies, with Bowie’s original songs like “Magic Dance,” “Underground” and “As the World Falls Down,” along with Jones’ orchestral score, which I’m sure will sound fantastic with a live band. The collaboration between Bowie and Jones provides an enchanting and distinctive musical experience, perfectly capturing the whimsical and fantastical elements of the film and contributing to its lasting acclaim and popularity.

Set in the Theatre I’m expecting a magical evening. I have attended these events together with a live band and they have been spectacular so I’m thoroughly looking forward to my first experience of a cult classic film with a little bit extra. I wouldn’t be surprised if some hard core fans dress up for the occasion.
