SOS products have been developed by Bruce Green who has many credentials including chartered scientist, chartered chemist and fellow of the Royal Society of chemistry, with years of experience in the cosmetic industry he has now formulated his own products with the focus being on skin sensitivity. The first product produced was SOS serum formulated especially to sooth eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis it is award winning and has had many five star reviews, the range has now been extended to include more products one of which “SOS eye serum” I have been asked to try.
All SOS products are made in the UK, are vegan friendly, cruelty free, and contain no artificial ingredients all things that are important to me when looking for cosmetics.
My eyes are what I would call a problem area they often look and feel tired with dark patches in the corners that I try to cover with concealer, so I was very keen to the SOS eye serum.
The first thing I noticed was the unusual packaging, the product is held in a pencil shaped bottle with a metal roller ball tip, product is fed to the roller ball by a spring loaded action, one pump gives a very generous amount so I would recommend being rather gentle with it until you get the hang of it to avoid using too much product.
From the first application I loved the coolness from the roller ball and the way it made it so easy to spread the product around my eye also giving a gentle massage to the delicate area around my eyes, my eyes immediately felt cool and refreshed, it really woke them up but at the same time everything felt very gentle.
I had a deadline to meet for this review so can’t comment on long term effects but this is my honest opinion after using every day and night for four days, my eyes feel more comfortable and they look much brighter I even think the dark patches towards the bridge of my nose are lighter, so it’s all very promising.
When I took a look at the active ingredients there was caffeine, eye bright, cucumber, quince extract and witch hazel all things that have long been associated with helping the delicate skin around the eyes.
This product would make a great gift for a person who does a lot of long haul travel or working the night shift when your eyes can start to feel very dry and gritty, it’s slim pencil shape make it easy to carry in a handbag or rucksack.
