The hit Musical Cats by Andrew Lloyd Webber is coming to the Opera House in The Winter Gardens, Blackpool from 9 July to 6 September 2015 and we were invited along for a special press launch.

Arriving at the Winter Gardens its grand interior and entrance makes you immediately feel as though you are entering into something special. The launch of the famous Cats musical was certainly something delightful and exciting this morning.

The Opera House situated inside of the Winter Gardens in Blackpool is a large theatre with excellent views of the stage. The magic of the theatre is certainly there.

On walking in, cats were prowling the theatre aisles with amazing make up and excellent elegant movements. The cats were truly in their roles entertaining the audience whilst awaiting the launch. The facial and body movements were clearly emulating our feline friends.

Cats is only available at Blackpool Winter Gardens for 8 weeks and is destined to be a great hit. The producer promises fine performances including that of Jane Mcdonald. When entering the stage she brought grace and clear passion for performance whilst showing her humble side to the on looking audience.

Her rendition of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Memory filled the room with a standing ovation. She was simply superb and will surely be amazing in this famous and most popular musical.

CATS in Blackpool 2015 if there is anything worth seeing this year, this is the one. Beautiful theatre, amazing show with fabulous performers.

I can highly recommend it.
