My partner Steve and I recently booked to go to the Yoga Supper Club in Haggerston, London, through

Funzing is a very cool and innovative way of booking different experiences, whether you wish to go alone or in a group. They have a variety of classes and experiences to choose from, including graffiti art work shop, tour of the Brick Lane and several curry houses, learning to make pizza or sushi, becoming an antiques hunter etc… The list is endless.

The venue was a fantastic studio lit by several candles to set the right scene for a brilliant yoga workout. It was a short walk from the overground station and easily accessible by several bus routes. It was our first time at a yoga class and we were warmly welcomed by Kelly-Marie, a qualified yoga instructor, and the rest of the participants. The participants were a mix of newbies and people who had been practising Yoga some time. Kelly-Marie organises Yoga Supper Club events at several different locations and we found that a lot of people had travelled from South London specially to attend her event at Haggerston that evening.

Kelly-Marie also had an assistant on-site for a relatively small class of 12 people, which was really useful. She takes a very keen interest in making sure that you get the most out of your class, regardless of your level and physical ability. Following a great work out, we were taken to a restaurant next door (Jones at Trip) where they had set up a table for us. We were greeted with a glass of prosecco and it was a great opportunity to socialise with other participants as well as Kelly-Marie herself. The food that followed was a feast to say the least. We had several different starters, mains and sides including king prawn cocktail, smashed avocado, chilli lime and sweet potato crisps, pan fried polenta, risotto, sea trout fillet and seared steak salad to share. When we thought we couldn’t possibly eat anymore, we were presented with irresistible looking baked peaches and Eton mess for desserts. Kelly-Marie also gave us a personally prepared goody bag full of healthy treats just before we left.

We came away from the experience feeling healthy, happy and full. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kelly-Marie’s Yoga workshop to any Yoga enthusiasts and I would most certainly be looking to book another experience/activity through Funzing.
