It’s that time of the year when it seems like every day there is a rain shower. I like to go walking with my friends several times a week up the local hills, even in December if you walking at a good pace, you manage to work up quite a sweat. This jacket is a great addition to a winter or spring wardrobe, a light weight water proof jacket with a hood. Ticking so many boxes straight away.
This jacket fits snugly so if you prefer a looser fit, I would size up. The jacket comes in four great colours for women, smoked purple, black, ultra blue and alert red. If I had to pick the ultra blue looks fab, but all the colours look great to be fair. It’s comes in a variety of sizes from extra small to extra large, check out the size guide on the website if you are unsure.
It’s perfect for what I need it for, with zip pockets both sides at the front, there is space for your door key or your phone if you are off out for a walk, hike or any outdoors adventure it’s great addition to any women’s wardrobe. The jacket is made with Helly Tech protection technology to protect against rain and wind. The hood has a light elastic which ensures a snug fit when you have it up.
It’s slightly fitted, so looks good with either your joggers or your jeans. Being so lightweight it’s also extremely comfortable to drive in, I don’t tend to wear a coat in winter as don’t like to get too hot in the car, this jacket is ideal to wear when driving.

I have favourited quite a few items, might be a bit late for Christmas ideas, but certainly plenty to put on my 2026 wish list.
Finding good quality hard wearing outer wear can be challenging, the feel and fit of this jacket is second to none and I think it will serve me well across many winters. It’s heartening to read that Helly Hansen offer discounts to Military personnel, First Responders and Healthcare professionals, details can be found on their website. It very much seems that sustainability is at the heart of all their products and their ethos as a company is about ethical values human rights and the environment. This is great rain jacket that suits its purpose well, it feels and looks good when you are wearing it! It’s a winner for me.
