Having friends and family members who are difficult to buy gifts for is something we all experience. Regularly coming up with original present ideas for Father’s Day, birthdays, and thank you gifts can feel like a daunting task. So, what could be more perfect for a chocolate enthusiast than a bar of artisan chocolate? Well, if your budget permits, a 15 bar boxful of assorted artisan chocolate would be an excellent start, and make for an incredible, and talked about gift.
Not only would this 15 bar boxful of assorted artisan chocolate from Wickedly Welsh Chocolate be a luxurious and indulgent gift, it also offers a vast range of flavours and textures to satisfy any chocolate lover’s palate. Ranging from a rich opulent Devilishly Dark Chocolate Bar to a zingy Lemon Sherbet Bar, this selection will please even the most discerning taste buds.
Wickedly Welsh Chocolate is a family run business, based in Pembrokeshire, Wales. I have purchased some of their produce before, so it was delightful when they offered me the opportunity to sample and review this assortment box.
Besides their fantastic range of chocolate, their firm commitment to the environment is clear. They mention on their website that they strive to source as many ingredients as they can from local suppliers. Their packaging is eco-friendly and they use sustainable chocolate.

It’s worthwhile having a closer look at their website; within it you will discover their complete selection of luxury chocolate bars, assortment boxes, and hampers, as well as their Welsh Pride Collection and the Penderyn Welsh Whisky Collection. There’s something for everyone’s taste and budget.
The box I received contained the following, but please note that the flavours may change (although rarely, according to the Wickedly Welsh Website) because of seasonal availability. These are the default flavours:
1x Devilishly Dark Chocolate Bar
1x Moreish Milk Chocolate Bar
1x Lemon Sherbet Bar
2x Ginger & Dark Chocolate Bar
1x Welsh Cake Bar1x Butterscotch Bar
1x Mint Crunch Bar
1x Welsh Sea Salt& Caramel Bar
1x Orange Marmalade Bar
1x Eton Mess Bar
2x Coffee & Biscuit Bar
1x Raspberry & Vodka Bar
1x Orange & Honeycomb Bar
(15 90g bars, in total 1.35kg)
Time limitations prevented me from trying all 15 bars at once, despite my initial wide-eyed eagerness. Besides having seen Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory way too many times, and knowing what happened to Veruca Salt, I suspect it’s better to exercise common sense and avoid excess.
Of the ones I have tried, my favourite was the Welsh Sea Salt& Caramel Bar. With a hint of caramel and a satisfying touch of Halen Mon Sea Salt. I found the combination of ingredients so tasty.
The Lemon Sherbet White Chocolate Bar was a bit of a revelation. I have a strong dedication to very dark chocolate, so this flavour wouldn’t be my first choice. That said, the blend of zesty lemon sherbert, and a high quality white chocolate was delicious.

Another outstanding bar was the Ginger & Dark Chocolate Bar. 60% cocoa dark chocolate, matched with the sweet, yet punchy taste of ginger – perfection.
I’m now looking forward to trying all the flavours, including the milk, and white chocolate ones, especially after being so surprised by the Lemon sherbet bar.
With careful craftsmanship and high-quality ingredients, skilled chocolatiers meticulously made each bar. The result is an extraordinary chocolate experience. Whether it’s for a special occasion such as Father’s Day or just a thoughtful, kind gesture, this gift will bring joy and delight to your difficult-to-buy-for family member or friend.
