Traeger Large Cut BBQ Spatula Review

The weather over the last few weeks has been so lovely and sunny which means it is BBQ time! For me one of the best things about summer is a chance to eat in the garden with family and friends. I love a massive BBQ with plenty of variety and large cuts of meat. But lots of BBQ equipment can be relatively flimsy and fall apart the second you put too much weight on it. Somehow I don’t think that is going to be a problem with the Traeger Large Cut BBQ Spatula!

It arrived in a large cardboard box wrapped up in bubble wrap. The first thing I was impressed with was the weight – it is really sturdy and would easily be able to pick up half a chicken or something heavier. It is also top quality. The handle is made from teak and has a loop at the end which is really helpful as it means you can hang it at the side of the BBQ when you are not using it.

It is quite expensive at £39.99 but this is a product which will last you a very long time especially if you look after it well, such as following the recommendation to hand wash the spatula rather than put it in the dishwasher. The actual spatula surface is made from stainless steel and the spatula surface is 6 x 10inches which is definitely extra extra LARGE! So far I have used this spatula for beef brisket and have found it brilliant to use as you don’t worry that the spatula will break and you will lose all the meat you have just spent ages cooking. The spatula also has a bevelled edge which means it is incredibly easy to flip – I definitely can’t wait to continue using it in the future!

Traeger does an enormous amount of other products including a variety of grills such as the Traeger Timberline 850 and Traeger Ironwood 650 which means they really know what they are talking about when it comes to BBQs! They also have a wide range of grilling tools so as well as the Traeger Large Cut BBQ Spatula you can get Traeger BBQ Grilling Tongs, a smaller Traeger BBQ Grilling Spatula or a Traeger Pig Tail BBQ Flipper.

The Traeger Large Cut BBQ Spatula is a great addition to any BBQ as it means you don’t need to worry about not being able to lift something or having to rely on another person to help. It is also very good quality which means it not only looks good with its teak handle and stainless steel surface but is sure to last a long time. With Father’s Day coming up on Sunday 19th June this would definitely be the perfect present for any BBQ loving Dads out there!
