Wow, Wow, Wow! My expectations of the show were blown out of the water from the moment the curtains went up. This show is high end glamour and talent. I thought that I would enjoy it, but my goodness what a night!!

The ladies are glamour personified, the night is all about telling the tale of the Supreme Fabulettes and how they got to where they are today. Silver Summers, Vanilla Lush, Vicki Vivacious and Portia de Fosse. Hollywood glam in silver sparkles, big hair and falsies. The evening started with I’m Every Woman and hit after hit followed. To name a few;  Back to Black, Proud Mary, Material Girl, Gimme Gimme Gimme and Rolling in the Deep.

I have to say that out of all the artists Vicki Vivacious had me spellbound. A better looking woman than me and OMG her legs!!! I WANT THEM. I couldn’t take my eyes off her. The ladies introduce each other and let us know what they really think of each, bitchfest, would be putting it lightly. More songs and the audience members are encouraged to get up out of their seats and dance, looking around the theatre most of us took full advantage of this.

Sheila Simmonds, well what can I say about this lady #laughaminute. A mature woman in a trouser suit with a handbag full of Werther’s Originals to take the edge off. Sheila hails from Australia and is just so funny. Sheila introduces herself as basically the backbone of the Supreme Fabulettes keeping them in line! It is Sheila’s job to keep the audience entertained whilst the ladies are changing from costume to costume and what a great job she does. Sheila takes us through the history of the girls and songs come along to compliment the stage in the story. Sheila also introduces her “daughter”, bless her, shell suit and bad make-up but hot “boyfriend” Diego Martinez… Diego entertains us with his acrobatic chain act, oh and erm teasing us by getting his chest out!

I am not going to go into details of the story, there is no need to be a spoiler. The costumes are amazing, some leave little to the imagination, other than to wonder where they hide their blushes if you know what I mean. Wigs are outrageous and the women are superb. If Viva La Drag is on near you… GO GO GO! You’ll be up on your feet, singing and dancing. As soon as I got home I found and liked the Supreme Fabulettes Facebook page and believe me if they come back to this end of the woods I will be going. I took my mum with me and she was like a child in a sweet shop. She loved every minute and was up dancing most of the night. You make my mum happy, you make me happy! Hen nights, birthdays any excuse for a girl’s night out, I’ll be there. How about a laugh a minute Date Night rather than romantic fun, fun, fun… and remember if the girls take a liking to your man, you may well see him in a whole new light! Be warned the transformation will be more smeared lippy and over the top blush than the slick immaculate make up of Summer, Portia, Vanilla and Vicki.

I have a new respect for the drag scene, the show is slick, professional, glitzy, fun, fabulous and FULL of talent. Favourite body Vicki, my favourite voice would have to be Summer.

The Grove Theatre is close to a Sports Bar and Wetherspoons. Parking is available in Asda and Go Bowling. The theatre is clean and well run. The booking office were prompt getting my tickets and all staff were very well turned out and polite.

Great venue, great show, great night! Out of 5, I score it 500!
