Both my teenage daughter and I are massive fans of The Body Shop. We have a house full of their products and love trying out any news ones. We were therefore delighted when The Body Shop sent us two products from their Christmas range to try out….
Warm Vanilla Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub
This product is a lovely orange colour. It comes in a clear container so that you can see the product inside. This makes the product itself look more appealing I think. The lid is mainly back with a picture of beautiful flowers on it. I love the fact that The Body Shop logo is shiny silver as well as some of the other pattern on the lid. I could not wait to open this product. When I did, the smell was pleasant and not too overpowering. I am delighted that this product is Vegan as well as not tested on animals. The ingredients are clearly listed on the side of the container, particularly useful if you have a known allergy or allergies. I think that 250ml is a very generous amount of product for the price of £8.
Now for the real test, what was it like to use? I applied a small amount to my body at first to try it out. I think that The Body Shop have found the perfect consistency for this product. It is easy to apply to your body and seems to go a long way. It leaves mine and my daughter’s skin feeling and smelling amazing. I have definitely noticed my skin is in better condition since using this product. This product gets 5/5 from both myself and my daughter.
Rich Plum Body Yogurt
The second product we were sent was The Body Shop Rich Plum Body Yogurt (RRP: £8.50). The container is see through so you can see the vibrant plum colour of the product. The container is smaller than the previous product reviewed, at 200ml. It is a good size and should not need replacing too often. This lid too unscrews to access the product. I could not wait to try this out after a bath.
Wow! It smells divine and applies easily to the skin. Both my daughter and I loved the feel of the body yogurt and it definitely worked well as a moisturiser. I love the curved design of the container the product comes in. The lid has a striking but stunning plum design. Like with the body scrub, shiny silver is incorporated into the design which is a lovely idea given that the products are from the Christmas range. This product too is vegan and not tested on animals. This product gets an easy 5/5 due to both its value and effectiveness.
Both of these products would make a lovely Christmas Gift for someone special in your life. That said, they would also make a lovely treat for yourself in the run up to Christmas. Why not take some ‘You time’ and have a relaxing bath and then make use of these products.
My daughter and I are both such fans of The Body Shop that I wanted to just mention the other lovely products they have available. Products are available for the face, hair & body. Some gorgeous make up items are available and with prices starting at under £10 some of the items would make a perfect gift for not just Christmas but other special occasions. The Body Shop you have won us both over again which is no surprise really given the quality and diversity of what you have to offer.
The Christmas range will be available to buy in store and online from 28 October 2019. For more information, to find your nearest store or to buy online visit www.thebodyshop.com.
