Traeger BBQ Shears Review

This summer I finally bought a new very fancy BBQ and have been enjoying cooking so many different foods on it. And what I have learnt is that it is so much easier to cook when you have the right equipment! So I was really excited to be able to review Traeger BBQ shears and see if they are worth the money and suitable as a Christmas gift.

When they first arrived I was initially sceptical about these BBQ Shears as the £25.99 price tag is a lot to pay for what looks like a normal pair of scissors. But these Traeger BBQ shears are so much more than a normal pair of scissors! Firstly the handles are non-slip grip which means even if you manage to get a bit of oil on your hands you wouldn’t worry about them slipping and the blades are titanium- coated and super sharp! It doesn’t matter what cut of meat you might need to cut through because these shears will be up for it. I don’t know about you but I hate blunt scissors!

Secondly they have a built-in bottle opener which is just brilliant. It is incredibly common (at least in our house) to be having a couple of beers while using the BBQ and this way you don’t have to worry about losing your bottle opener as they are attached to the shears.

And finally they are very easy to wash. As I have already mentioned these shears are sharp so the fact that they come apart (and also are easily put back together) means that you can make sure they are 100% clean without having to worry about hurting yourself. I am definitely impressed with the quality of this product and I think they will last for ages. So far I have used them a few times and they remain incredibly sharp but it will be interesting to see how long that lasts – hopefully a very long time!

Traeger also does an enormous amount of other products including a variety of grills such as the Traeger Timberline 850 and Traeger Ironwood 650 which means they really know what they are talking about when it comes to BBQs! They also have a wide range of grilling tools so as well as the Traeger BBQ shears they also have a Traeger Large Cut BBQ Spatula, Traeger BBQ Grilling Tongs, a smaller Traeger BBQ Grilling Spatula or a Traeger Pig Tail BBQ Flipper and they have a good selection of rubs and sauces including a coffee rub which looks delicious.

The Traeger BBQ shears are the perfect Christmas gift for a foodie as they are maybe not the normal thing you would go out and buy yourself and yet they are really good quality so once you have got the BBQ shears you will have regretted not buying them sooner!
