The Life of Riley is a British sitcom originally shown on BBC One from 2009-2011.

Jim (Neil Dudgeon) and Maddy (Caroline Quentin) are recently married and have just moved house for them to live with their 4 children. Jim has 2 children from a previous marriage, teenagers Danny and Katy, Maddy has one child from a previous marriage, Ted, and they have baby Rosie together.

All this creates a dysfunctional family with the addition of Maddy’s ex-husband and mother thrown in for good measure. All the time they are trying to compete with their middle class next door neighbours, The Weavers, who come with their own marital problems.

This box set contains 4 DVD’s:

Series 1 – One disc with 6 episodes
Series 2 – One disc with 6 episodes
Series 3 – Two discs with 8 episodes

Overall, this is an enjoyable, inoffensive sitcom with lovable characters. While not being rip-roaringly hilarious there are some good comedy moments and is good all-round family entertainment. The teenagers are constantly outsmarting the adults and the youngest son, Ted, with his obsessive and nerdy behaviour and a passion for cleaning create an entertaining series.

With Special Features including bloopers, a Riley House Tour, behind the scenes footage and cast interviews.

Fun for all the family.
