If you’re like me and you have a little monkey who refuses to wear a hat and gloves set, then The Minkie by Olie is the perfect alternative for you.
We received our Minkie promptly after ordering and when I first tried it on my son Oliver, 2, he refused to put it on his head. He hates hats so I showed him his big sister wearing it before we tried again. He was quite hesitant to begin with but soon let me try it on him. A few seconds later he was stomping around the house shouting ‘Grrr’, pretending to be a dinosaur.
The Minkie comes in a variety of sizes and colours and we received the green dinosaur in age 3T-4T. The set is made from 100% fleece to keep little ones warm. Oliver is big for his age but he does still have quite a bit of room to grow, so he will be able to use it for a couple more years. The design is an all in one hat, scarf and gloves, which looks kind of like a hooded top that has been chopped off under the arms. My son is too small for most dressing up costumes, so he is in his element pretending to be a dinosaur and he won’t take it off in the house! I am actually very surprised at how much I like this product and how convenient it will be for the winter months. No more looking for matching gloves on a morning and no more cold little boy because he is taking his hat and gloves off in a strop, throwing them out of his buggy. It is an ingenious idea, and we had already had hours of role-play and no cold heads or hands.
I would definitely recommend this product and will be looking to buy my nephew one for his Christmas present.
