The Ultimate Eagles at St George’s Hall, Bradford Review

I went to St. Georges Hall Bradford on Sunday night 5 October to see The Ultimate Eagles and although there was a problem in picking up my tickets from the box office, it was resolved very quickly and in time for me to enjoy the most incredible tribute band I have ever seen. What a performance!

The six musicians who make up The Ultimate Eagles are as close to the original Eagles as you will ever listen to. Each band member is an outstanding musician in his own right – rock stars, BAFTA award winners and all well respected players with years of touring and recording experience. These guys have played venues in many countries, from clubs to stadiums and everything in between.

One look at the Ultimate Eagles’ collective experience and professionalism, and it’s easy to understand the band’s simple yet bold mission statement: To play The Eagles’ music better than anybody, anywhere, second only to The Eagles themselves.

The Ultimate Eagles treated fans to a wonderfully nostalgic experience while playing their way through The Eagles’ songbook. They play all the favourites: Hotel California, The Last Resort, Desperado, Lyin’ Eyes, Life in the Fast Lane et al, with such wonderful accuracy and enthusiasm that it’s clear; this is a band that loves what it does, and that they take The Eagles music very seriously. From the perfect harmonies to the incredible guitar solos, you’ll be as amazed as I was.

I loved the show from start to finish and I could easily have listened for another two hours. My only regret of the evening was that it had to end, so if you get the opportunity, get tickets to see The Ultimate Eagles and judge for yourselves on whether they are as good as I say they are.
