Staring Vincent Simone & Flavia Cacace
Director and Co-Choreographer: Karen Bruce

Using what appears to be a simple, but actually very cleverly thought out and effective prop of a man looking back on his life by visiting his loft and going through various boxes, cupboards and treasures, we are introduced to a beautiful love story as he recalls through encountering objects, meeting, falling in love, proposing and marrying his wife. The storyteller (who says very little but says it all) is played so brilliantly and seemingly effortlessly by Teddy Kempner introducing us to his world and the utterly brilliant Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacae.

Be prepared to be totally mesmerised all evening by the incredible dancing, not just of this fabulously award winning duo who for 7 years took Strictly Come Dancing by storm and encouraged a nation to dance. Their performance from start to finish is just outstanding and beautiful. The story told is not just an opportunity to showcase theirs and the talents of the members of this brilliant company of performers – it is touching and heartfelt. The choreography is fantastic, the singing and costumes just wonderful. And the story one that many would have encountered.

Time literally dances by in a trice and I would go and see it all again every day it was so fantastic. The unquestionable complexity of most of the dances which are performed not just with ease but with such grace and sheer delight –is just outstanding. This is beyond skilful – it is from the soul.

It was an absolute privilege to see this extraordinarily talented pair perform their passionate and pulsating Argentine Tango – how on earth can anyone ever move their feet so effortlessly, so perfectly and so beautifully? Mesmerising and memorable.

The Last Tango is billed as the final theatre tour of this immensely talented and wonderful couple – you really shouldn’t miss them – it is the most extraordinary evening of dance and theatre that you will see. Well done to the whole company for a truly wonderful evening at the theatre – you are amazing!!
