A range of sample packets of the Original and Spicy chicken inner fillets arrived, carefully well packaged and chilled.

At only 45 calories per inner fillet, the chicken is steamed, flavoured and chargrilled before being individually sealed in protective, colourful and enticing packaging.

In a notoriously difficult market, these healthy snacks do have a niche, and as a concept are a great idea. They can literally appeal to everyone for lunch boxes, snacks, salads and for adding to dinners.

‘Inner fillet’ does describe them well as they are the slimmer part of the chicken breast, but then a whole chicken breast is more suited to part of a meal rather than a quick snack.

The chicken is soft and moist with a hint of BBQ chargrill flavour and were enjoyed by all our family. The spicy ones have a subtle juicy taste with the seasoning blended not to overpower, but add that bit of something extra.

They can be purchased in multi packs from Nisa, Morrisons and Ocado.

They would have had a 5* glowing review but unfortunately, while packed in the UK the chicken itself is from Thailand which is a great shame and I hope that one day they will look for a U.K. supplier. Also, while in large letters on the front of the packets it states 100% chicken fillet, in the ingredients list it has 89% chicken (spicy) / 92% chicken (original) which is rather confusing.
