Do you take bottled mineral water with you to the office or gym? Then look no further than Aqua Pura Natural Mineral water, sourced from the hills of Cumbria. To achieve the classification of Natural a water must meet strict standards undergoing two years of microbiological and quality testing, so you can be sure you are getting the best quality British sourced water you can buy.

I commute 3 day a week and always take a 500ml bottle of water on the way, refilling it from the water cooler at work for my return journey to save a plastic bottle. The Aqua Pura bottle is a traditional shape but has a distinctively different cap so I was looking forward to trying it for ease of use. The branding on the label and the cap are both an aquamarine green colour and it is clear to see it comes from Cumbria, both with the County highlighted and the backing illustration of rolling Lake District hills. There are two other stand out illustrations on the bottle, a British flag in a water drop shape, with the wording Pure British in white, and the larger recycling wording in white. This states clearly that the bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic which makes me feel a lot better bout taking bottle water on my journeys. In addition to this good news, the cap and label are 100% recyclable.

The bottle has an eco friendly snap cap, which I found extremely easy to use. It flips open and shut with a click to say its closed, it’s so simple, yet means the lid doesn’t get lost or dropped ending up in landfill or the food chain picked up by seagulls. I have spent many a train journey looking for my bottle lid under the seat, so it suits me perfectly!
Aqua Pura water is bottled at source in Armathwaite, Cumbria and comes in both still and sparkling versions. The sparkling option seemed to be very popular and sold out everywhere I tried, so I stuck with tasting my normal still version. The 500ml still bottles come in a 12 or 24 multipack and the 500ml Sparkling version comes in packs of 8. You can also purchase a large 5 litre bottle of still water, perfect for family days out or a camping trip. The 500ml bottles are perfect for your handbag, rucksack or car cup holder and slipped into my tote bag easily. The taste of water can be quite subjective as some prefer a more mineral taste than others, but I really enjoyed Aqua Pura and wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. If you find yourself heading towards the Lake District I recommend taking a look on the Aqua Pura website here as it has lots of good ideas for walks and picnic sites, it’s not just branding information, although it does give you many interesting facts about the water and the area it comes from.

For a reasonably priced but premium bottled water you really can’t go wrong with Aqua Pura Natural Mineral water.  It’s good value, great quality, 100% British, totally recyclable and has and eco friendly cap. Highly recommended.
