I have been a huge fan of the Hotter brand for many years so I was delighted when I was gifted a pair of Hotter Aspen boots to review. I was offered a choice of either Rich Tan or Black, so I immediately chose the black colour as it will compliment other items in my wardrobe. The boots come in an amazing range of sizes from a size 3 to a size 9, including half sizes and in two width fittings, standard or wide fit, so there really is the perfect fit for practically everyone. I received the size 6.5 standard fitting pair of boots, which fit perfectly and are extremely comfortable. If you are looking for a Christmas gift for someone you love, I really recommend buying these beautiful boots.

I first became aware of Hotter boots and shoes about 20 years ago when I worked in a school early years’ setting and I was on my feet all day. I soon realised that I needed to wear extremely comfortable shoes whilst looking smart and stylish and after trying several different brands, I discovered the Hotter comfort concept. I now have several pairs of boots, shoes and sandals all from Hotter.

The Hotter Aspen boots are ankle length so are perfect to wear with skinny jeans, leggings or thick woolly tights. I tend to live mostly in jeans so they look great with them, but also look good with my midi dresses and tights. There is also a little silver coloured decorative hoop at the back of the boots, which adds to the funky look.

The pair which I received are made from full-grain leather, but there is also a version made from suede. They are lined with faux fur and breathable textile, ensuring extra warmth in the cold winter months. The removeable insoles ensure comfort and freshness. There are tasselled zips both on the inner and outer side, making it easier to put the boots on and fasten them up. As I have arthritis, I sometimes find it difficult putting my boots on and off, but the double zip fastening on each side the boots, makes this so much simpler. Not only do the boots look fashionable and stylish, they are also very practical. The soles are made from Polyurethane and have grooves and ridges, making it easier to walk without slipping in damp or icy conditions. The ultra-light sole makes walking much simpler as the hardest ground feels much softer underfoot. The boots themselves are super light and flexible and I could wear them all day long without ever complaining about aching feet.

I absolutely love the Hotter Aspen Boots. They look fantastic, are incredibly comfortable and I have had loads of compliments whilst wearing them. As I have been wearing Hotter for years, I know how hard wearing and long lasting the boots are. At just over £100, they are not the cheapest option but they work out as really good value for money as they will last for years and also because one really cannot put a price on comfort. I would recommend these boots for anyone who loves looking stylish and trendy. They will make an amazing, thoughtful Christmas gift for a loved one.
