WOW, WOW, ABSOLUTELY WOW!
Before I get into the review, I wanted to share a little bit about Krissi from Abrakadabra Handmade Magic and her seedbombs, to which the following information was taken from the Etsy page:-
‘Our handmade Seedbombs are made in the UK, using non-invasive wildflower seeds from multiple UK suppliers. Due to the paper around the seeds, water is stored for longer, which helps with easier germination. Each Seedbomb is a perfect gift that keeps on giving, even for people that do not have a green thumb. Ask us about wholesale, we would love to supply your shop with our products’.
PACKAGING
My items came in a letter box sized box which was very sturdy and securely sealed. It had a lovely company logo sticker on it and even a note saying ‘Thank You Postie!’ How lovely and thoughtful is that.
They were all neatly and safely placed in the box with a business card. On the front was all the information you need about the business and on the back a lovely note from the seller, making this feel really personal and special to the buyer and even whoever it is gifted to.
ABOUT THE SEEDBOMBS
I was very lucky and extremely grateful to receive 5 different products to review and I really could not wait to get started. The following information was taken from the Etsy description:-
‘These seedbombs are made with recycled paper and a variety of (not invasive, mostly native) wildflower seeds which are sourced from UK suppliers and will grow into beautiful bee and butterfly friendly flowers. The seed mix contains a variety of 60+ different seeds. Not every seedbomb contains every flower seed possible, it will be a surprise what’s in your seedbomb and what grows in your chosen spot’.
I really must point out that there is a lot of superb and detailed information about the seedbombs and can been found when scrolling down the page of each item and is worth reading as it will help you to understand more about the seedbombs, how they work, where is best to plant them and so much more.
I have listed below under separate headings my review for each product with an accompanying link so you are able to purchase them.
GIRAFFE SEEDBOMB
This delightful seedbomb comes attached and placed within a piece of card that has the picture of a giraffe on it. The seedbomb colours are yellow and beige. You can see the seeds within the bomb. I love how the seedbomb gives a 3D effect an illusion that it is the giraffes face shape.

BUNNY SEEDBOMB
This is presented in the same way as the giraffe but with a bunny face. The seedbomb I received is brown in colour but you can choose white. It is just so lovely and cute how the seedbomb gives that 3D effect and illusion of the bunny’s face shape.

RAINBOW HEART SHAPED SEEDBOMB
Presented in the same way as the others above and with an array of colours. Blue, red, green, orange, purple and yellow. It is thicker than the seedbombs I have mentioned above and is a really beautiful design.

STAR SHAPED SEEDBOMBS
This comes in a clear packet with 2 stars. They are smaller than those that I have mentioned above and are really cute. These came in 2 different colours pink and green. They usually come in random colours, unless you send a message to Krissi with your preferences.

BIRTHDAY CARD SEEDBOMB
They say you should never have a favourite but I have to say, this is one is mine. I have friends where we always like to keep our budget below £10.00 and find something different and more unique and this really does fit in with all of that. The design if of a cute bee holding the string to a balloon, the balloon is the seedbomb and along side the string it reads out ‘Hapbee Birthday’. Beeutiful, just beeutiful.
I am delighted to explain about the concept of how the card and envelope are made, so sustainable. The card and envelope are both made from recycled paper, clear bio-degradable and compostable bag and made from starch. Is that not just amazing and so good for our planet.

I had a few questions of my own that I wanted to know and learn about, so I contact the lovely Krissi on Etsy. Such a lovely lady and was very quick and exceptionally helpful in answering the. I have listed them below and should you have any further questions, I can honestly say, she is lovely and very approachable, so drop her a message you feel the need to.
How long does it take before you can see the seeds sprouting (if that is the right terminology)? LOL It totally depends on what seeds are in your seedbomb, the weather conditions and what the soil is like. It usually takes less than a week to see seedlings, however, some might start a little later, when the conditions are just right 🙂
Should you water them every day? If not what do you recommend It is important to thoroughly water them at first so the paper can soak up as much water as possible. After that, keep the soil moist, water when necessary. More often in summer.
Are you able to let me know what flowers are in each of the bombs you have sent or are they a mixture of different ones? Like I said above in question 1, the seeds in the seedbombs are a mixture of seeds (over 60!). That doesn’t necessarily mean you have 60 different flowers in your seedbomb. Also, it all depends on your type of soil, too. No Seedbomb is the same, even if I managed to put the exact same seeds in two seedbombs and send one to Scotland and one to Cornwall, not both will have the same flowers growing because of the different soil types – you surely never know what you get. Each seedbomb is like a kinder surprise egg without the plastic but all the flowers that will grow are native and non-invasive, unlike lots of seedbombs from other sellers that purchase their seeds from China unfortunately. Our seedbombs contain annual as well as perennial flower seeds, so it’s likely you’ll have several years out of one seedbomb. They are also pollinator friendly and loved by bees, butterflies and the likes.
When is the best time to plant the seedbombs? As outlined on each of the seedbombs, it is recommended to plant them between March and September
AGE GROUP
None of the seedbombs are suitable for children under the age of 3 years old. It is recommended that children should be supervised when handling and planting the seedbombs.

ABSOLUTELY GO FOR IT! By far the best concept of seed growing I have ever seen. They would make the perfect gift for anyone and especially children (over the age of 3 with supervision). What a lovely way to share and keep beautiful memory with someone.
