Being an avid camping family, we have found ourselves outdoors on many occasions and been in desperate need of something that would save us from the horrendous flies, mosquitos and other flying bugs that are relentlessly to crash our camping party. Then I heard about this company and their repellent products and had the amazing opportunity to review these products so I was very happy to do just that. I was interested to see how other people felt about the products and was shocked to see some mixed reviews online BUT I read some fantastic reviews and many of them said that they were advised to use the products correctly.
So I figured that I would follow the instructions to the letter and see what difference it would make.
The company has combined three bottles of the essential incognito insect repellent with carefully selected products that they know any adventurous traveller will need! The wash products contain anti-bacterial properties so will not only help to keep you bite free but also dirt and fungus free! They advise to use it every day to provide you with a base-layer of protection underneath the insect repellent. The citronella oil targets indoor areas and the incense sticks burn for up to 2 hours, perfect if you’re outdoors. Their small but mighty java citronella oil is a multi-purpose essential oil with repellent properties, it can be used in an oil burner, added to clothes/bedding washes, or combined with fragrance free toiletries to create DIY insect repellents.
Now, being in the middle of the freezing temperatures, we don’t exactly have a pesky mosquito situation – and I’m definitely NOT camping right now – but I still had a go with the product to see if there was any skin reaction and how I reacted with the smell and I was pleasantly surprised. No skin reactions on me or the family and even though you can smell the product, it’s not something that bothers me as an annoying smell. I’ve tried some products before that have made me gag because of the strong smell but this was completely different. I know that many products on the market can affect invertebrates negatively but I was excited to see that these products do NOT have are entirely safe even for my dog who comes camping with us and sleeps inside our tent.
