I received the StressNoMore Silicone Lunch Bag to review. The lunch bag arrived and it was a nice lilac colour and first impressions were that the bag looks very stylish and modern. There was a cardboard wrap-around the bag with information about the item, so packaging is quite minimal but it doesn’t need any so there’s no unnecessary waste.
One of the problems I find with a conventional plastic box is that my sandwiches can get soggy so I was interested to see how they would be in the lunch bag. I was pleasantly surprised at lunchtime as my sandwiches had been kept very fresh and hadn’t gone soggy at all and after eating my sandwiches the bag could be folded up into a smaller size and put away. The bag is environmentally friendly as it eliminates the need for cling film, foil or other disposable bags for your sandwiches.
The lunch bag works by placing your lunch in the bag, closing the top together and rolling over slightly and then there’s a band which fastens round and clips shut, so it’s simple and easy to use and again easy enough to clip open. I think you could place salads and pastas in the lunch bag, but it isn’t watertight at all so if there was any dressings, sauces etc… in there it would leak out, unless it was kept upright. The lunch bag opens up quite tall and I think it would be difficult to eat directly out of it although you could maybe roll the sides down.
The lunch bag can be either hand washed or placed in the dishwasher so it’s easily cleaned. All in all, I was very impressed with the lunch bag and will definitely be using it from now on to take my sandwiches to work.
