Having been a Star Wars fan since a very young age, I was excited to see if this mug was a fun as it sounded. A mug is a mug but sometimes adding a little novelty to the regular cup of coffee can brighten a rainy day 😉

It arrived very well packaged in a strong cardboard box with additional packaging inside to prevent breakages. The outer box was very well decorated with clear labelling, lots of colour and instructions for washing of the mug – it is not dishwasher safe! It is also not microwave safe – I very rarely put a mug in the microwave, but it’s good to know anyway.

The mug itself is a very good size – not too small that some mugs I have come across – and is quite thick and solid. Very thin mugs often feel like they will break or chip with the slightest bump, but this is a lot more sturdy.

The mug has ‘Star Wars’ written in big bold writing at the top and this writing remains whether the mug is hot or cold. The bottom rim of the mug is lined (all the way around) with the handles of various lightsabers from the films – all the favourites are there from Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin/Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

When you pour hot water into the mug, initially nothing happens but as soon as the mug starts changing temperature itself (about a minute) the full pictures of the lightsabers start to appear as if being switched on in slow motion – it’s really quite exciting and my fiancé and I both found it quite funny to watch as we felt like kids playing with a new toy at Christmas!

I would happily recommend this product to others and may be purchasing a couple more as Christmas presents for fellow Star Wars fans.

I have no problem giving this product 5 out of 5 stars.
