A magical Springland has arrived at Partridge Lakes, Warrington!

It was a gorgeous sunny morning when we visited with no hint of the storm that had raged the days before. The team had worked tirelessly to restore the magic and provide their usual top quality experience. If you visited either their Easter trail or Halloweenville in 2025 you already know how much effort goes into a Partridge Lakes production – it is second to none. There is twinkly, atmospheric music, bubbles, and a smoke machine as you wander along. The attention to detail through small decorations as well as the main attractions shows how dedicated this team is to staging immersive events.

The fact that this isn’t just an Easter themed trail really sets the event apart from other offerings. Instead of an easter egg hunt it is an enchanting walk through fairy-tale lands on a quest set by Princess Araya. She explains that Springland has lost its magic and by visiting each realm and completing tasks you can restore the magic to the lands. I won’t reveal the themes of the realms as it would spoil the surprise and awe, but visitors will experience a host of fairies, mermaids, dragons, and castles on their quest. At each kingdom, and some in-between, you will meet a fantastic array of characters who bring the adventure to life. In the usual Partridge Lakes style, they are completely in character, full of energy, and dressed in wonderful costumes. They really couldn’t be more realistic.

Participants are all handed a map of the trail by Princess Araya which is used to collect stamps from each realm once the activity has been completed. At the end of the five trails you meet the King of Springland who, by checking that you have earned all of your stamps, confirms that you have indeed restored the magic and directs you to the prize hut to choose your reward. These included easter Haribo, swords and shields, flower headbands, keyrings, and dragon egg toys. A great selection and something for everyone.

My personal favourite during the trail was the experience with the alpaca and goats. All participants have the opportunity to feed and interact with both animals and even to walk them. The Alpacas are from the local Woodlands Alpaca Farm and were very friendly.

As always, the car park is well attended with plenty of staff to guide you into spaces and we had no issues whatsoever. The Springland trail follows a different route than that of Halloweenville which set off from the café. The Café is still available, just across the car park from the Springland entrance, and they have added stalls selling hot food (pizza (£10-12), nachos (£7-£9.50), cakes and sweet bakes) and drinks with a picnic area beside the Springland lake. We ordered nachos and coffees and enjoyed them in the sunshine.

The trail and facilities are very accessible and we found that wellies weren’t required at all. Despite the storm the paths were well kept, not muddy, and suitable for prams and wheelchairs. There were seats at intervals around the trail if you need to rest. The toilet facilities at the start and end of the trail are up steps in a trailer however they did also have a ground level portaloo.

We visited as two adults and a 4 year old and we all really enjoyed ourselves as it was unlike anything we’ve experienced before.
