I was so excited to receive a very smart looking package through the post this afternoon. The packaging itself was a smart, matte black advertising “Professional Oral Care at home.” I think it’s a great way for the company to advertise their products, but the only thing I would worry about would be if the delivery driver left it on my doorstep. The packaging also advertises that this is Oral Care that’s designed by dentists so I was really looking forward to seeing what the Toothbrush could deliver! I am usually an electric toothbrush user so I had my own experiences to compare it to but this product felt very different to my normal toothbrush … but in a good way.
Opening the package, everything was in different compartments and would have been protected during transport. It looked really smart. I was impressed by the illustrations and features shown on the box. It clearly showed what was included, the toothbrush, 3 replacement brush heads, a magnetic click charger and a travel case and user manual. I really like that this toothbrush has a magnetic click charger, but the best bit is that it’s a USB C charger. I find it really annoying with traditional electric toothbrushes, that they have the shaver style plug so when I travel, I have to make a special effort to carry an additional plug. The magnetic charger also feels very strong and you know straight away that it’s made the connection and its charging.
I must say, I am normally someone who just unboxes a product and just uses it and reads the instructions later. I’m glad I did read the instructions as it says I need to charge the toothbrush for a full 9 hours before first use. So I’ll just have to wait for my morning teeth clean.
The Spotlight Oral Care Sonic Pro Super Sonic Toothbrush has some great features. It has a smart pressure sensor, so when my mind wandered and I pressed too hard on my teeth it told me by flashing red and when I returned back to normal brushing it returned to white. There is a quadrant timer on the rim of the Toothbrush. There are very clear instructions in the user manual. It talks about separating your mouth into 4 different sections. The quadrant timer then flashes to remind you to move to the next section. It also is set to 2 minutes which is great as my other brush doesn’t do that.
The travel case looks like a giant glasses case with a magnetic close. It can hold 2 toothbrush heads but I couldn’t find a way to distinguish whose toothbrush head was whose. The only thing that I would change about the toothbrush, is a way to distinguish between the different brush heads. Other electric toothbrushes have different colours or marks etc. The toothbrush heads feature a tongue cleaner as one of the features.
There are 4 different modes on the toothbrush, Gentle, Clean, White and Polish mode with a little beep when changing between the modes. The lights on the front of the brush light up to show you which mode you are on but the lights are so bright so you can easily see. I was able to try the Spotlight Oral Care Sonic Pro toothbrush with the Advanced Action Whitening Pro Toothpaste with the toothbrush. It was very smartly boxed but the tube looked so professional it didn’t really need any outer box. The toothpaste was a fresh mint flavour and really left my mouth and teeth feeling clean and fresh.
Overall I was very impressed. The toothbrush looked very sleek and smart, with bright display lights and a powerful clean. A different cleaning style with a vibrating head rather than rotating head but it left me really pleased with the cleaning
