Last week I received a year’s digital Tastecard plus to review.   Once I received the membership code I downloaded the app and very simply entered the details and in no time at all I was signed up, A Tastecard offers a massive range of offers and restaurant discounts including 50% of on deliveries or 2 for 1 on dine in meals on over 6000 places countrywide.  Other offers include up to 40% of cinema tickets and up to 50% of days out.  Unfortunately at the moment nobody is able to make full use of these offers but there are still plenty of opportunities for people to make full use of the membership.   Other current deals include 40% of 12 wines delivered to your door with Virgin Wines or if books are your thing you can enjoy 10% off at Waterstones or there’s even a free seven day trial of LRG fitness where you can work out from home.

One of the more exciting offers is the up to 27% of Rakuten TV.   Rakuten tv Is is a streaming app where you can rent numerous films including new releases and cinema releases.   Renting through the Tastecard app guarantees lower prices than if you were to rent through Amazon and sky and start from just £2.99.   As part of my review I received a code for a movie rental and after choosing a film I found it incredibly easy and very simple to use.  Once you’ve completed the transaction you then have 48 hours to watch your film and can watch it as many times as you like in that time.  Everything was easy to understand and I would definitely use this service again.  To rent movies you just need to purchase E codes via the Tastecard app. It’s not 100% clear until you read the small print but if you were to purchase a £2.99 code it would give you a value of £3.50 which gives you a 15% saving, A £3.49 code is for HD with a value of £4.50 giving you a saving of 22% and finally a UHD code is £3.99 giving a value of £5.50 with a saving of 27%.

Unfortunately I’ve been unable to make use of the 50% of food deliveries I looked into whether Pizza Hut were delivering but unfortunately our local one wasn’t and as I’m in a rural location delivery doesn’t normally include my area, I’ve had a Tastecard membership in the past and found I saved a lot of money.  It meant I could have that pudding I wouldn’t normally have.  It made places that I found too expensive to go to affordable. ,I think if you eat out more than once a month on the Tastecard is definitely good value and a must have.  In the hopefully near future after the current crisis is over I’ll be making full use of my membership and will look forward to discounted cinema trips with the kids and a trip to Pizza Hut.  As this is a digital membership I don’t need an actual card but can just use through the app which I find a lot more convenient and easy to use.  The app is simple to navigate and clearly states what days what offers are available at the different venues and I love the way the app uses my location to show me the nearest places are that I can use my taste card at, Even now I feel the taste card has a lot to offer and has good value for money with the option of paying yearly or monthly and the flexibility to cancel at any time, I Believe taste card are currently offering a 30 day trial for £1 which I think is a fantastic offer that shouldn’t be missed.
