We have been to see Slava’s Snowshow at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford. I have seen this show advertised on TV quite a lot lately and it looked quite good so I was looking forward to going, if I’m honest a small part of me did think its only people dressed as clowns doing tricks with fake snow/webbing etc… but I couldn’t have been more wrong…
The special effects that they used combined with the audience participation, magic tricks and comedy made this show totally mind blowing. Everything was bright, colourful, dramatic and absolutely amazing to watch. My mouth aches from laughing and smiling all the way through the show – there wasn’t a dull moment throughout.
They managed in 1 trick to transform the theatre so you felt like you were in the middle of a full snow storm. There were soooo many amazing parts of the show that I’d really struggle to pick out a favourite part. Although I did think the huge cotton web that they passed into the audience was brilliant and the huge inflatable balls that we all had to keep bouncing around were absolutely brilliant and very funny to take part in.
The show is advertised as a family show, we didn’t have any children with us but we didn’t feel out of place watching it without them, the show managed to capture the imagination of absolutely everybody, it definitely released the big kid inside us – its got to be one of the best shows that I’ve ever been to see and I don’t think you would be able to find anybody that came away from it saying they didn’t enjoy themselves. I can’t wait to go see it again and I hope it comes back to Bradford again soon. I’ve told all my friends and family about it – there are just no words to sum up how brilliantly amazing it is, you really need to go see this for yourself.
I can definitely see why its advertised and says “SLAVA's SNOWSHOW has taken the world by storm” as it totally blew us away.
