Synopsis

But their rivals, The Stinkyfish Gang, are determined to thwart their plans. Will the Skullabones pirates be able to outwit their enemies? Or will the Stinkyfish Gang best our swashbuckling heroes? With pirate memorabilia to discover and open in six fun-shaped envelopes, this is the perfect gift book for all little pirates!

This book was enjoyed by every child that looked at it. I am a childminder so it was shown to an 8, 6, 4, 3 and 2 year old. All of which loved taking the various pieces of mail out, reading the letters and putting them back into the right envelopes. The story and graphics were good also but the children mainly loved the hands on approach with taking the inserts out, arranging them and replacing them. It brought another level to reading the book.

The older children laughed at the names of the pirates and the address’ such as ‘Stinkyfish Gang HQ’. Just their level of humour at this age! They have looked at it again and again studying and pointing out things on the treasure map. I’m sure this will provide entertainment for a long time to come.

Definitely a favourite of theirs.
