Now, who doesn’t love Paddington Bear? He’s so cute and adorable, and what better way to let your little ones discover the magic of Paddington Bear than to have a tea party with him? Just don’t forget the all-important accompaniment, the delicious ‘Marmalade Sandwich’!
The tea set comes in a cute brown case. On one side of the case, it has two picture stamps of Paddington, and on both sides, it has Paddington Bear’s initials. This case is great for storing the contents when not in use and even better for taking out and about on travels. You can even pack your little one’s packed lunch in it to share with Paddington Bear when out and about.
Everything is stored neatly and tidily, and it comes with a very cute, soft plush toy of Paddington Bear. He makes the perfect guest at your little one’s tea party.
This tea set is most definitely aimed at toddlers and those of pre-school age. The contents are small, making them fit perfectly in tiny hands. Whilst the cups, sugar bowl, milk jug and teapot are quite chunky, they will not compromise little hands when picking them up and playing.
You can make the tea set more personal by using the sticker sheet that comes with it. It has 12 different stickers, all relating to Paddington Bear and his journey. Allowing your little one to use the stickers helps develop their cognitive skills by encouraging them to think about where the stickers should go. It also promotes hand-eye coordination, which is very important for their development.
Play Experience & Educational Value When given to my three year old granddaughter, she was immediately drawn to the case, she recognised Paddington Bear and excitingly opened up the case straight away and was drawn to the tea-set. She picked up Paddington Bear, held him tightly whilst she set up and put everything in place ready to have lunch with him.
With this tea set, setting up and having a tea party also encourages little ones to communicate. My granddaughter was talking to Paddington Bear throughout the process setting everything up, placing sandwiches on the table, and making drinks. This is a great way to help develop interactive play and vocabulary skills.
The case is sturdy enough to use repeatedly, the tea-set as previously mentioned is chunky and suitable for those tiny hands and fingers. Paddington Bear himself is very well made, super soft and adorably cute and cuddly
It is slightly higher in price than other tea sets I have used, but you are getting Paddington Bear himself as well as a fantastic little carry case. Also, ‘bear’ in mind… this set is an FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified product, meaning you are supporting the responsible management of the world’s forests.
Paddington’s Tea Set is a very sweet and well-thought-out toy for toddlers aged 2 or more. It combines character appeal with practical play features. The suitcase stores the easy to handle pieces, and the cuddly Paddington companion. If you’re shopping for a first tea-party gift that will encourage creative play and delight little hands, this set delivers. It’s not perfect but for its target age group, it’s a strong recommendation.
