I was very excited to have the opportunity to review these two Schleich models from the DC Comics™ Justice League range because I know that my little boy would be delighted, being a fan of superheroes! When my parcel arrived I opened it immediately to find a brightly coloured, bold box printed with different cartoon style superhero and villains on. The packaging really stood out and was very eye catching, especially to my son who spotted the item immediately.
Without a moment to lose we opened the box to get out the two figures. Upon a closer look I realised that the two figures were excellent quality, with attention to very fine detail on both the facial features and the costumes of the figures. The eyes of Darkseid were a brilliant addition, as they appear to light up red in certain lights – showing how much thought and detail is put into the figures.
The figures themselves stand on ground which is modelled like stone/rock. This touch is brilliant as it allows the figures to stand upright on their own without having to balance them for imaginative play.
I have to say, at first I was sceptical about how well the figures would hold up to my son playing with them, as I know when playing Superman and villain with other figures he can get quite rough. However, after several days now of constant playing the figures have both come out undamaged which is brilliant as it means they are durable for my son to play with them for a long time.
Overall I am very impressed with the quality and detail of the figures, and I will definitely be expanding our collection of these figures.
