It was my pleasure to be back at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury last night to see Rumours of Fleetwood Mac.

The Waterside Theatre is easily found, there are two car parks opposite and a multi-storey, I parked in the bigger of the two car parks that are opposite the theatre, there was ample parking. There is a small fee to pay for parking here so make sure you take some change.

I always find the Waterside Theatre such a treat to go to, I love the ambience of this theatre and always find the staff extremely helpful. There was a relaxed, calm atmosphere in the foyer this evening; I felt this was as a more mature audience were attending.

Rumours of Fleetwood Mac covers hits from over four decades. They are billed as the ultimate Fleetwood Mac cover group and I would have to agree. Fleetwood Mac was around as I was growing up, I did not know all of the tracks played tonight but this didn’t take anything away from my enjoyment.

We, (the audience and I) were treated to outstanding vocal performances and pure brilliance from the musicians, from the seven members on stage performing together (they opened with ‘Gypsy’) to the stripped back tracks with only two members on stage performing ‘Landslide’ – they were outstanding. Lead vocals from Louise Rogan (Stevie Nicks) and Amanda Kostadinov (Christine McVie) were sublime.

I loved the instrumental ‘Albatross’ where we really got to hear the superb quality of the guitarists, simply outstanding.

My only criticism is the lack of interaction with audience, as I am not a super fan I would loved to of  know a little more about the tracks and Fleetwood Mac as the night progressed. The audience were on their feet for the last couple of tracks but felt that this could have happened sooner with a little more coaxing.

All in all they are a group of extremely talented individuals who come together to give a polished performance of Fleetwood Mac tracks.

If you are a Fleetwood Mac fan then this is definitely a show for you and not to be missed.
