Having had my current hairbrush for several years and being desperately in need of a replacement, I was really pleased to be asked to review a Rock & Ruddle Hairbrush.
Before I even opened the hairbrush I knew that I was in for a treat as it arrived beautifully packaged in a purple shiny mailing bag and lovingly wrapped in tissue paper. The brush itself was packaged in a bright orange cardboard box with lots of helpful information and care instructions printed on it.
The Rock & Ruddle hairbrushes come in a wide range of designs, two sizes (small and large) and three different bristle types (natural bristle & nylon tips, pure natural bristle and very soft bristle). I was sent a large Zebra Fur print brush with natural bristles and nylon tips which is ideal for my thick hair.
The first thing I noticed was that the brush is very light for its size (approx. 6.5cm x 21cm) which makes it easy to use. I also really like the bold zebra fur pattern as I’d never really considered that a hairbrush could be ‘exciting’ or ‘fun’ but this one is very appealing to look at.
The bristles are set in a cushioned rubber pad which made brushing my hair very comfortable. I have to admit to being sceptical about the claims that the brush would give my hair extra shine by the bristles distributing the natural oil down each shaft so was amazed at how great my hair looked after using the brush. It really did look shinier than usual and showed the colours off really well. I have used the brush on a daily basis and also for blow drying my hair and have been really impressed with the results.
One other great thing about the brush is that the bristle pad is very easily removed and replaced for cleaning so it’s very easy to keep the brush in great condition.
Overall I have been really impressed with this Rock & Ruddle Hairbrush, and while previously I couldn’t have imagined paying £30 for a hairbrush I am definitely a convert. I love it!
