Russell Grant, who won the nation’s hearts in the 2011 series of Strictly Come Dancing, will bring his inimitable style and energy to the show as Host. Russell has also enjoyed huge success in the West End and on tour, starring in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s West End production of The Wizard of Oz, Teen Angel in Grease and in Midnight Tango with his Strictly dance partner Flavia Cacace.

Executive Chef Lesley Waters, who appeared in over 500 editions of television’s longest running cookery success, will head up the celebrity chefs and is thrilled to announce the TV chef favourites who will be joining her on stage at venues up and down the country:

  • Nick Nairn
  • Tony Tobin
  • Brian Turner CBE
  • Kevin Woodford

Following the legendary TV format, guest chefs will work against the clock to prepare a meal, backed up by the classic competing Red Tomato/Green Pepper kitchens.  As the chefs work furiously, the audience is offered the chance to vote for their favourite.  Members of the public join in with the fun, competing at each tour date, with the winner bringing their very own ‘Quickie Bag’ on-stage. During the show the audience can get tips from the chefs, enjoy some insider gossip on making the TV series and will have the chance to ask the chefs ‘burning’ questions on preparing better meals.

Ready Steady Cook debuted on BBC1 in October 1994 and the most recent UK edition aired in February 2010. The show enjoys worldwide appeal, airing in Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Malaysia, the Middle East, Norway, Poland, Romania, South Africa and the United States of America. Ithasmade household names of many of the guest chefs including James Martin, Nick Nairn, Brian Turner and Phil Vickery.  The show was presented by Fern Britton from 1993 – 2000 and then Ainsley Harriott until 2010.

Executive Chef Lesley Waters currently appears on ITV’s This Morning and is a national celebrity cook, regularly contributing articles and recipes for magazines.  Formerly Head Tutor of Leith's School of Food & Wine, Lesley is the author of numerous cookery books, a qualified Fitness Instructor and a mother of two! She runs the intimate and quirky Lesley Waters Cookery School in the heart of West Dorset, where she shares her passion for gutsy, rustic, straight from the heart style cooking!  Born and bred a Londoner, Lesley was quickly charmed by the beauty of Dorset and inspired by the superb quality of fresh local produce, available right on her doorstep. She likes to cook seasonal food whenever possible.  Her simple, warm, modern style develops dishes that are easy to recreate, with stunning results. Presently, Lesley is working on her new cookery book and has finished filming a brand new series for BBC Television, Put Your Menu Where Your Mouth Is that is currently on air.

Further guest chef names and a full schedule will be released later in the year.
