We loved watching this dvd. Our mummy told us the series was written and narrated by Eric Thompson. We recognised his voice from the original Magic Roundabout. Although mummy wasn't born in the 70's (that's the truth!) and didn't remember this program we all sat down as a family with popcorn and watched it together.
Sam the main character is cool! He spends a lot of time with his Aunt Mill in her antique shop. Sam is very kind and uses his magic ball to help people. He is always off on magical adventures.
We watched the complete second series and Sam meets a bored giant, a stranded spaceman, shipwrecked sailors and even bees who don't like flying!
The animation of the popular children's classic is basic but very effective. A quaintly drawn seaside town and lots of interior images of Aunt Mills shop which is full of all manner of things. Kept the kids amused and that's most definitely a good thing! Thumbs up in our house and has been watched several times a week since!
Would recommend.
