Prezzo Italian Restaurant At Leicester Meridian Review

Prezzo Italian Restaurant is based at Meridian Park in Leicester, which boasts restaurants, American Pool and Tenpin Bowling, but most importantly, plentiful Free Parking. The outside of Prezzo always looks clean and inviting no matter what time of day you arrive. I am very happy to report that the inside is just as clean and inviting, and they hold a grade 5 in food hygiene, which to me is very important.
Last time I ate at Prezzo it was a very quiet midweek lunch, and the food and service were impeccable. This time I booked a Friday lunch time, at the end of half-term, quite a contrast, just to see if their service and food still hit the same spot, and I am happy to say it did.
We were greeted with a smile, and promptly seated in a booth, a quick rundown of the available menus and an allergy check, which I think is important, if the host knows that you have an allergy they can advise both the kitchen and you when ordering. On the table we did notice their Mother’s Day offer, of two courses from £26.95 with free prosecco for mum, also an Italian Afternoon tea, which I might book myself! Buy a Gift have it at £34.95 for 2 people. If you regularly take your children out to eat at Prezzo they now have a Kids club subscription at £1.99 a month which is worth a look.
As we ordered our food and drinks we were reminded of money saving deals on the menu, such as two sides for £8, which is good, you can easily miss deals if there are a few of you. As we were driving it was soft drinks only, however, they do have a nice selection of Wines, Beers, Lagers and Cocktails.
Our food and drinks arrived quite quickly considering how busy it was. I went for the Hot Honey mozzarella sticks, and my daughter her favourite garlic bread with mozzarella both arrived piping hot, both delicious. From where we were seated, I could see all the food coming out of the kitchen and it all looked very well presented and nothing was left under the heat lamps for any length of time.
We had a nice gap between our starters and main courses, which was handy as the mains were plentiful, nobody can say they come away from Prezzo hungry, you get your money’s worth. I went for a restaurant favourite of lobster and crab ravioli, and my daughter the salmon and prawn pasta, both dishes were presented nicely, piping hot, and nicely seasoned. I can see why the ravioli is a restaurant favourite, it is mine now too. They do have a very nice dessert menu with some very tempting treats such as Tiramisu and Chocolate fudge cake; however, we only just managed an ice-cream sundae.
The restaurant had a nice ambiance; the music was just loud enough to hear but not too loud you could not have a conversation. The whole experience today was lovely even though it was busy we never felt rushed or overlooked, the hosts were nice, friendly and nothing was too much trouble, for there to be no difference in customer service, food quality and cleanliness shows how professional their staff are and how much they take pride in their work.
Prices are dependent on what you order, a starter is from around £5.75 for Garlic bread to £8.95 for Antipasto. Main courses vary from £12.95 for Rigatoni Arrabbiata to £18.50 for Marsala Chicken, it really does depend on what you fancy. Mid-week they always have different offers on, so it is always worth checking their website.
