Playmobil has been around for many, many years and I was very delighted to be asked to review this most delightful and beautiful Playmobil Magical Energy Source which is part of the new Ayuma series.

I felt like a big kid and went off into my own magical land when putting this together with my granddaughter. She absolutely loved it and to see the big beam of smile on her face was just as magical.

The quality of the parts made by Playmobil are, as you would expect, made of a robust plastic and are made to a high standard. Some of the softer plastic parts are those of the lanterns and garlands. They all fit together very well and made it so much easier when placing all the pieces together.

I love the illustrated guide which is included. It is in colour and very well detailed. The instructions estimate 45 minutes to put together. It took us a little over 1.5 hours, this could be due to all the fun we were having at the same time as putting it all together.

The assembly of it was fairly easy. I would definitely recommend supervising a child when letting them put it together, especially as there are some small parts and could be hazardous.

With the bright, bold and solid colours, this makes for a great way to interact, learn and help with cognitive learning too.

What makes this so magical is that the main crystal lights up. Just push a button and watch the lake illuminate with the flickering of the light.

Where there is the flower meadow and secret passageways, there is weeping will and glow in the dark plants. This is so magical and quite rightly, I placed this is in my granddaughters bedroom, where, once the lights were off, the magic in her eyes lit up.

My granddaughter loved this, not only did she watch them independently but she also played along with this whilst watching it too. She had so much fun as it encouraged her to interact and roll play.
