Oscar Charles Beauty is a family-owned business that was established in 2018. Their range includes, make up brushes, skincare and beauty accessories. It is a small selection, but I feel that has allowed them to concentrate on delivering quality products at affordable prices.
They are ethically minded, and ensure their products are cruelty free and never tested on animals. They are vegan, so contain no animal-derived ingredients. And they ensure they prioritise natural preservatives, fragrances and source sustainable packaging, to minimise the effect on the environment.
I was very impressed with the customer service and delivery process. Upon placing my order, I received an email, which included an order number, then the following day, an email from Royal Mail, to say my parcel from Oscar Charles Ltd, was on its way. This included a tracking number with an estimated due date and a two-hour time slot. There were also options to change the delivery instructions, such as leave with a neighbour or in a secure place. This service Oscar Charles has chosen to use was Royal Mail Tracked 48hr. I think the ordering and delivery process is very reassuring for its customers, particularly as they seem to be mainly an online brand, where sometimes it can feel difficult to know who to trust.
I can confirm they are a legitimate business selling good quality products, if I have any criticism, it would be their enthusiastic online presence. I am now seeing multiple Oscar Charles adverts across all my social media, under different circumstances and had I not already placed an order, I may have been wary too.
The Advanced Anti-aging Serum is nicely packaged in a white box, it has all the ingredients and information on the packaging. The 30ml Serum is in a slender black glass bottle that fits neatly in your hand, the lid pops off easily and the pump action dispenser is simple to use. The Serum smells wonderful and can be used alone or under your daily moisturiser or makeup. The instructions advise to apply twice daily, morning and night. I use two pumps, and it comes out as a light cream, but goes almost watery when smoothed on the skin, it is quickly absorbed and very light. I like how it feels, and my skin is smooth and silky to the touch, there is no left-over residue.
I have used it with the Oscar Charles Protect & Repair Day Cream SPF 30, which I have also reviewed, and they do seem to compliment each other perfectly. They can be purchased as a duo RRP £57.99 but currently on offer for £46.00, which I think is excellent value, also the delivery is free on orders over £40.
Time will tell if the anti-aging, wrinkle reducing claims are true, but I think if the immediate effects are anything to go by, then this is a product I intend to continue to use and switch from my usual brand.
