I had to wait impatiently till after the Easter Weekend to collect my parcel from the Post Office.
As I drive a Mondeo I was hoping and praying that I had measured my seats properly and they covers would fit. Phew thankfully they did.
These covers are beautifully bright and cheery absolutely perfect for springtime with their lovely bright red tulips. Fitting them was so simple, they literally just slipped over the seats, and with a little straightening tah da, they were on, it literally took me 5 minutes (even with long nails) to get them on both seats. There are no strings to tie under seat as seen on other covers. I also noted how well made theses covers were. When fitting there was none of the usual dreaded sound of stiches ripping or the fabric tearing, also I have deliberately been less than gentle with the pocket to see how it would stand up to every day rushing about treatment, I would just shove the bag in and drag it out as if in a hurry, the pocket and cover has coped really well with this rough treatment with NO signs of any stretching or distortion to the seat cover. They fit fabulously too, I have had other covers that once you sit on them they strain or move while you are driving. These covers stay in place without needing any adjusting no matter how often you get in and out. They also have the required holes for your side airbags a safety feature I have never seen before.
Now for the BEST bit of these covers is the handbag pocket on the passenger seat cover. Now ladies if you are anything like me, I worry about my bag being on the front seat, but like it close by me, so I have done all sort of things to secure it, hung it over my gear stick, put it on floor, in the boot, but I like it where I can reach it. Also if like me your handbag holds your whole world and is the size of a small suitcase, you may be worried that any pocket wouldn’t be large enough, this was exactly what I thought when I saw how neatly the pocket was made, but was pleasantly surprised at just how big the pocket really is and not only is it spacious when your bag is in there, it does not overly distort the look of your cover. Not only is it large enough to take my massive bag comfortably it actually made accessing my bag easier as it held it still.
Another habit I have is nipping to the shops with just my purse and phone, being able to drop them securely into the pocket is brilliant, they don’t slip off the seat and if stopped at lights etc… nothing on display to tempt those chancers we all hear about. And as the pocket is on the upright portion of the cover it stops setting off the sensor on the passenger seat when any weight is placed on it.
I do love these covers, they are proper girlie as well as practical and are a great accessory for your car (matching steering wheel and seat belt pad covers are also available). They slip on easily, with a fantastic practical deep pocket to keep you handbag secure, in pretty designs. At £62 some may consider them too expensive but you do get 2 well made, quality covers that are handmade in the UK with storage pockets and fit most small to medium car seats, so much cheaper than getting the seats re-upholstered.
