Upon receipt of the bib from Maman Gateau, I noted that it was packaged well, in a small package that fit through my letter box and wrapped in a plastic wrapping.

The design I requested was a Rastafarian themed bib and very Jamaican in colours. I liked it! When I popped it on my baby son, I almost needed some fake dreadlocks and a beanie, he looked fab! A very striking design and I was glad I chose it.

The bib itself was quite large which is what I needed, having a baby with reflux! It covered a substantial amount of his front and fitted well (he’s a small 9 months). However with this in mind, he is small for his age, (not overly, but smaller than average) and I wonder whether it’s a bib aimed at younger babies rather than toddlers.

The bib has a press stud (plastic popper) fastening with two options of width, making sure the bib grows with your baby, which I was impressed with. The fact that it’s plastic though put me off slightly as I have other brands of the same style of bib and they have metal poppers, which I think gives a ‘better quality’ feel.

The bib has lasted through two 40 degree washes so far and has kept its shape really well and hasn’t bobbled or threaded and has remained colourfast. Still looks good as new.

I definitely would shop with Maman Gateau for bibs again, I like the designs and would look for more of the same funky themes.

Overall I’m thoroughly pleased and impressed with the quality and look of the bib. It’s fashionable and looks great. A winner.
