I received 2 Heavenly samples for review; Spinach, Apple & Kale Wafer Wisps and Pumpkin & Banana wafer wisps. They are organic with no artificial colourings or flavourings, no added salt or sugar are perfect for teething.
The outer packaging was easy to access and sufficient for the content. The outer packaging explained about the product and the company which I do like. My initial thoughts were that the outer packaging could be brighter. I feel that the product might struggle to stand out from competitors on supermarket shelves.
The wafer wisps come in boxes of 6 packets which each contain 3 wisps. The wrapping on the wafer wisps themselves was plain white and a little boring. It gave no information on the content (except from PR & EX dates) so if the box was removed (at home for storage purposes) you would have no idea what flavour was in the packet. I have since been informed that the white internal packaging is only temporary and new wrappers are being printed.
The taste of the wafer wisps themselves was pretty good, flavours stood out and my 6 month old certainly seemed to enjoy them. My toddler was also keen to enjoy the wisps enjoying the spinach, apple & kale wisps the most. The wisps are a decent size and easy for my 6 month old to hold. There was little mess, the wisps weren’t crumbly and were easy for her to eat. I think that the packet size is generous for one 6 month old baby. I personally wouldn’t give her 3 wisps at a time so this could lead to some waste if the remaining wisps are not correctly stored. However having 3 wisps does mean that one packet can be shared (in my case between baby & toddler).
The price point of the product is similar to competition and fair, £2.19 for a box of 6.
Overall, the wisps are a good product that I would be happy to purchase at that price and give to my children. I’d happily recommend the product to friends with babies of weaning age and give the wisps a very good 4 out of 5.
