It’s always a good sign when you wake up the morning after a comedy and your jaw is still aching from laughing so much, that’s definitely how I feel this morning. Over 2 and a half hours of pure side-splitting comedy. The show was filled with many forms of comedy but mostly observational comedy performed by some fantastic black comedians about the black community and that is exactly what All Stars of Comedy is about – Black comedy. But don’t be fooled, observational comedy applies to all in some way and you can relate throughout the whole show no matter your colour etc… However, as with many comedians this show is not for the faint hearted or easily offended, in some places it is advertised as a 15+ but at times there are points where you wonder whether it should be an 18+ and some of the places you buy tickets it is an 18+.

Performed in the Quay Theatre in the Lowry, the audience was full. It was an amazing atmosphere by all of the audience, show staff and Lowry staff. Comedians were having photos taken throughout the performance which at points seemed a more difficult task than it sounds, why? Because the photographers were too busy laughing at the comedians! I think it is a true sign of a good comedian if the people touring with you (I assume they are touring with them) are still laughing at the show.

The show had a fantastic line-up featuring John Simmit, Rudi Lickwood, Dave Baptiste and none other than the gorgeous Richard Blackwood. All of the comedians gave a fantastic performance with the final act being Richard, with very graphic sexual comedy he was definitely my favourite, but that’s just my sense of humour.

If you like comedy and you aren’t easily offended, trust me you need to be able to laugh at yourself as well as everyone else, then this is definitely a show worth a watch.
