Lush Twilight Bath Bomb Review

I love Lush. I love that you can tell if you’re within 50 metres of a shop by the heady scent of bath bombs and glitter!

Our 4-year-old daughter, Edith, also loves Lush. In fact, we sometimes use a Lush Bath Bomb as a reward for good behaviour and to persuade her into the bath.

The Twilight Bath Bomb is large and purply pink with small embossed stars and moons. It smells of lavender and reminded me of sherbet.

As it dissolves the pink turns more purple culminating in a deep purple bath which my daughter loved – as will I when I have my own Twilight bath later.

I was pleased to see it took a while to dissolve which kept the small child engrossed long enough for her to have a proper wash and I’m sure the essential oils of lavender, benzoin, tonka and ylang ylang aided in the subsequent peaceful bedtime we were blessed with.

The scent is so beguiling I looked up what other products Lush do in the same scent. I was excited to see they have many; from body lotion and body spray to shower gel and bath oil. They also do a couple of gift boxes which I quickly Pinterested (can I use that as a verb?) for gift ideas for Christmas and birthdays.

At £3.95 each, Lush bath bombs can be a lovely weekly treat. As our daughter only has a shallow bath which lasts only 10 minutes or so I was able to chop the bomb into quarters. This still provided the satisfying fizz and the purple bathwater but means we can get 4 baths out of it – which is always a bonus.

I will definitely pick up a couple of bath bombs for Edith’s stocking this Christmas and also maybe make my own box set of bath bits for my Grandmother-in-law’s present. She loves a good soak in the bath and I think she’d enjoy the Lush bath bomb experience.

Thanks Lush – that’s a couple of presents sorted!
