What a show! Brilliant atmosphere and wonderful entertainment for any Beatles fan of all ages. Let it Be is a celebration of the music of The Beatles.

The stage lighting for Let It Be was fantastically choreographed and relevant to the songs or era that was being performed, it really increased the atmosphere of the show. It enhanced the vibe greatly as did the appropriate use of stage smoke.

The show was brilliantly arranged, the use of the screens showing original footage and comments from the Beatles was a great asset and the mesh screen used during certain songs was very effective.

The band of four were fantastic as the Fab Four and in character throughout – Paul Cannings’ portrayal of John Lennon was funny and charismatic and the interaction between the band members was light and easy.

The guitar and drum performances were amazing, consistent and full of energy. The songs rolled easily and the audience knew every line of every song. The crowd were up on their feet, dancing, waving the torches from their phones, clapping and cheering as the strobe lights flashed across their faces and the call for an encore was deafening.

A thoroughly enjoyable performance for everyone.

The bar and foyer area of Aylesbury Waterside Theatre was easily accessible and the staff were swift to serve, it was well equipped with seating and tables and I was reassured to see security staff spot checking peoples bags.

The flooring, walls and wooden decor as well as the mass of lights adorning the theatres ceiling looked in great condition and well maintained. There was a wide selection of food and snacks to be purchased and a variety of drinks too.

The toilets were pleasant and tidy and the staff showing people to their seats were friendly and helpful – Aylesbury Waterside obviously selects a high standard of customer focused employees who do an excellent job of representing the theatre.

Parking for the theatre is just across the road and plentiful, it was very easy to find a space and just as easy to leave after the show with no traffic queues.

A really lovely night out, a truly fab show and a great experience of what Aylesbury Waterside Theatre has to offer.
